Week 5 of the tour we jump all the way back to the East Coast and visit the Sunshine state that is the pan handle of Florida. Off the Wall Quilt chose to depict manatees in her block. Manatees are an indigenous endangered species in Florida. Did you know manatees are partly responsible for mermaid legends?
Cowboy, Take me away!!! Week 6 we find ourselves deep in the heart of Texas. Sarah Ruiz from Saroy (Sarah Ruiz Quilts) has added a beautiful Bluebonnet block for our Block Tour. Mosey on down to her website and add Block 6 to your US Block Tour.

OOOO, Ya, Sure, You betcha!! Today we are visiting Minnesooota. Minnesota is a second home to me. We had two of our children there and raised our family. Minnesota will always feel like home. Quilt Doodle Designs captures the Northwoods of the Land of Ten Thousand Lakes, along with the silhouette of this state. Holy buckets, is the one cute. Uff da!
"Ah one, and ah two..." Cheeseheads Unite!!! This week's block celebrates your homeland. I have many friends from Wisconsin, America's Dairyland. It is a beautiful state to visit and I am sure an even more wonderful place to call home. Phoebe Moon at Scrapdash has given us a lovely depiction of WIsconsin's Dairyland prominence. In the words of Lawrence Welk, "It's wunnerful, just wunnerful!!!"

We are starting out November in the Midwest and heading to Nebraska!!! Prairie Point Junction has designed a gorgeous Prairie Star Block. This block is traditionally pieced and features the Nebraska State Flag colors. The center square of her sample contains meadowlarks, the Nebraska State Bird.
